School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

What do you want to be when you grow up?

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) help NDIS participants of school leaving age transition smoothly from school to work.
They are available in the final years of school and directly after leaving school.
The NDIS can fund these supports for up to 2 years, depending on your circumstances.

At Social Model, we know that leaving school can be an exciting and daunting experience.
Our expert Employment Advisors specialise in supporting you through the transition from school to work, helping you to kickstart your career and follow your passions.

We develop a personalised employment plan, working one-to-one with you focusing on capacity building and work experience.
We provide a flexible service, visiting you in the home, at school, in the community, via video chat, or wherever else you are most comfortable.
We believe in a holistic approach, supporting you throughout your entire employment journey, from career exploration right through to support in the workplace.

We use an evidence-based Customised Employment method for our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) service.
We begin by discovering your strengths, skills, and interests.  These can be found as we spend time with you at home or in the community, speak with friends and family, or observe you undertaking work experiences.
Later on we collaborate with employers, using these strengths, skills, and interests to customise a job so that it suits both the employer’s and your needs.
